Australian abstractionist Yvonne Audette returned to Sydney after over a decade abroad in 1966. Her return to Australia marked a shift in her use of light and colour. While remaining committed to abstraction and profoundly structured compositions, Audette increasingly drew inspiration from the Australian landscape, as seen in Sign landscape, 1972.
