Wall Sculpture I

1968

Inge King’s Wall sculpture I, 1968, references international developments in sculpture while presenting the work in a context traditionally reserved for painting – on the gallery wall. While the sleek forms echo American Minimalism, King’s manual treatment of the brushed steel surface evidences the artist’s hand and material process.
