The Johnny Ripe Story

A small orchard was the beginning of the well-loved Johnny Ripe apple pie.
A vision of creating a business using only quality ingredients was the Johnny Ripe Story.

The creators of Johnny Ripe, Adam and Michelle, are both trained chefs originally from a seaside town north of Sydney.

After working overseas and running successful businesses in Sydney, they yearned for a quieter pace of life and started searching for an area that would fit the bill. The Mornington Peninsula had a lot to offer and it was here that they found what they were looking for…and a small orchard was the beginning of their well-loved apple pie. All Johnny Ripe products are made by hand with passion and integrity.

Michelle remains dedicated to supporting the family business while also channeling her creativity into a side hustle: baking sourdough bread each week. True to form—and with her signature cleverness—what started as a small project is quickly growing into something much bigger.

Hannah Vincent from Butchers Daughter

Meet The Butcher's Daughter

Growing up, Hannah tagged along with her dad, a butcher by trade, on weekend deliveries to the Victoria Market, in Melbourne. She learnt to appreciate the art of fine food along the way.

Inspired by his passion, she swapped the butcher’s block for buttercream over eight years ago and became a qualified patisserie chef. Since then, Hannah has refined her skills with some of Melbourne’s top cake makers and shared her treats in beloved cafes across the Mornington Peninsula.

Today, she’s your go-to baker for stunning sweets, show-stopping wedding cakes, and birthday masterpieces stacked with love. Each cake is boutique, custom-designed just for you, crafted with the finest ingredients, and decorated to be as delicious as it is beautiful.
