Reflective Simulations

2012

Reflective Simulations, 2012, embodies the contradictions of nature versus culture. It is a semi-immersive sculpture that expresses an intuitive artistic process and challenges the way people engage with the natural environment. Comprised of a number of geometrical units, the work appears self-determining, growing like crystalline formations or plant-like growth where the viewer and the environment are thrown into a kaleidoscopic matrix.

McClelland acknowledges the Bunurong / Boon Wurrung people of the South-Eastern Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters on which we are placed.

We are a safe, welcoming space for all people.

As a not-for-profit organisation, McClelland relies largely on the support of visitors through entry fees and donations to help conserve and build the collection, curate inspiring exhibitions and public programs, and care for the beautiful sculpture park and bushland setting for all to enjoy.
