Aleks Danko Exhibition Opening

Saturday 14 March, 2pm

McClelland warmly invites you to the opening of Aleks Danko’s major solo exhibition A(GAP)E – mesmerized by some / thing ... a reflection 2016–2026.

Take your photo in the artist's famous Selfie Portrait Gallery! Be seduced by the power of words such as 'IDIOT', 'bum' and the Yiddish term verklempt! Rub shoulders with Melbourne's art cognoscenti! LAUGH in the face of death. (Please try not to sit on anything that might be art.)

Opening remarks by writer/curator/broadcaster Julie Ewington.

McClelland acknowledges the Bunurong / Boon Wurrung people of the South-Eastern Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters on which we are placed.

We are a safe, welcoming space for all people.

As a not-for-profit organisation, McClelland relies largely on the support of visitors through entry fees and donations to help conserve and build the collection, curate inspiring exhibitions and public programs, and care for the beautiful sculpture park and bushland setting for all to enjoy.
