In Conversation: Amber Creswell Bell & Leading Australian Artists

Saturday 18 July, 1.30pm – 4.30pm

Join renowned author and curator Amber Creswell Bell for an inspiring afternoon of candid conversation with four celebrated Australian artists featured across her acclaimed Thames & Hudson book series: Miranda Skoczek, Prudence Flint, Mary Tonkin and Elizabeth Barnett.

Set within the beautiful surrounds of McClelland Sculpture Park and Gallery, this intimate event offers a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into the lives, studios and creative practices of some of Australia’s most respected contemporary artists. With her signature warmth and curiosity, Amber will uncover the stories behind the work of these artists, from creative breakthroughs and career-defining moments to the challenges, rituals and realities of sustaining an artistic life in 2026.

Expect a conversation that is thoughtful, revealing and full of insight. Whether you’re an artist, collector, student or passionate art lover, you’ll come away inspired and armed with a wealth of knowledge, bring your notebook for this one!

The afternoon also includes an audience Q&A, giving guests the opportunity to ask their own questions, followed by time to mingle with the artists and fellow attendees over a glass of wine.
