From street to sculpture - Art talk + tour with Alison Tedesco

As part of celebrating Frankston’s 60th Anniversary as a city, join us in recognising and exploring two of the city’s iconic arts institutions, McClelland Sculpture Park + Gallery and Frankston Arts Centre.

Local artist Alison Tedesco is being featured at both galleries, with exhibitions Street Stories and Nothings to Something, respectively. Join Alison on a unique opportunity for an artist talk on both sites and a bus tour in between, which visits several sites that inspired the artworks.

Tedesco's subject matter is the gritty underbelly of the urban environment in which she lives. The underground graffiti scene which originated in Frankston in the late 1990s, is also a font of inspiration. Visitors will delight in in Tedesco’s astutely observed and affectionate three-dimensional portraits of place.

The event includes a simple morning tea onsite at Frankston Arts Centre, followed by an opportunity to have lunch with Alison at Harry’s at McClelland before being dropped back to Frankston Arts Centre.

• 11–12pm Bus Tour
• 12–2.30pm McClelland for exhibition tour and lunch with artist

Bus will drop back to FAC at completion of visit. Please BYO drink bottle for the bus tour. Ticket price does not include lunch at Harry's cafe; selection is at the discretion of the individual from the menu available.
