Creative Drop-in: Collage for Country

April School Holidays 2025

Join us at McClelland for our FREE kids and family drop-in workshops these school holidays.

Inspired by the artwork of Teho Ropeyarn and our exhibition Current, kids and families can visit the gallery, experience community artmaking, and play with paper-cutting, scratch art, and mural making!

Collage for Country: Land, Waters, Sky

Wed 16 April & Thurs 17 April

10.30am – 1pm

Honouring life on Bunurong and Boon Wurrung Country, help us create a mural inspired by local land, waters, and sky. Children will get to create a scratch paper piece to add their vision to the community mural.

Ages: 5-12yo + parents/carers

Location: Sarah and Bailleu Myer Education Pavilion & Elisabeth Murdoch Gallery

Important to note:

Children's creations will not be taken home but instead added to a group artwork displayed during the sessions.

Parents/carers are required to stay to support and supervise children during sessions.

Thank you for understanding that places are available in order of arrival.

Sessions may close if capacity is reached or wait times may apply during busy periods.

McClelland acknowledges the Bunurong / Boon Wurrung people of the South-Eastern Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters on which we are placed.

We are a safe, welcoming space for all people.

As a not-for-profit organisation, McClelland relies largely on the support of visitors through entry fees and donations to help conserve and build the collection, curate inspiring exhibitions and public programs, and care for the beautiful sculpture park and bushland setting for all to enjoy.
