Exhibition Opening | Christopher Pyett and Alison Tedesco
Saturday 27 June, 2pm – 4pm
The walls of the Elisabeth Murdoch Gallery will spring to life with a series of recent works by celebrated Australian painter Christopher Pyett. All made within the past five years, these abstract paintings represent Pyett’s sensitivity to the rhythm and character of colour, and his unparalleled knowledge of colour theory.
In tandem, is the first major solo exhibition of recent models by Frankston-based Alison Tedesco. Only eighteen months ago Tedesco extended her painting practice into three-dimensions. Her beguiling dioramas—littered bus stops, dumpster bins covered in tags, abandoned factories—are executed with attention to detail that is all the more remarkable given their miniature size.
