Kids and Families: Hatched- Celebrate Nature Play Week

Thursday 16 + Friday 17 April

Join us outside at McClelland to celebrate Nature Play Week for a special kids and families event, HATCHED!

Explore the bush, get creative and make with new friends in the great outdoors.

Dates: Thur 16 + Fri 17 April

Time: 10.30-12.30 pm

Start site: Sarah and Baillieu Myer Education Pavilion

What to expect:

A guided walk and talk to find things at McClelland that have hatched from (or remind us of) eggs! Some fun art making and creative conversations!

-We hope to see birds, turtles, and insects in their natural habitat.

-Sculpture spotting to discover art that resembles eggs, nests, or hatched creatures.

- Clay Play to finish and create a unique egg-inspired sculpture to take home.

Please note: This session takes place entirely outdoors and is weather-dependent- it includes walking and art making in the bushland.

Important: Booking numbers are limited for these sessions and a strict start time applies. Click the button below to RSVP.

The program is the same on both days, please only book for one day so others don't miss out!

As this is a family session, parents/carers will supervise their children throughout.

McClelland acknowledges the Bunurong / Boon Wurrung people of the South-Eastern Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters on which we are placed.

We are a safe, welcoming space for all people.

As a not-for-profit organisation, McClelland relies largely on the support of visitors through entry fees and donations to help conserve and build the collection, curate inspiring exhibitions and public programs, and care for the beautiful sculpture park and bushland setting for all to enjoy.
