Alison Tedesco: Street Stories

Saturday 27 June – Sunday 25 October 2026

The first major solo exhibition of recent models by Frankston-based Alison Tedesco. Only eighteen months ago Tedesco extended her painting practice into three-dimensions. Her beguiling dioramas—littered bus stops, dumpster bins covered in tags, abandoned factories—are executed with attention to detail that is all the more remarkable given their miniature size.

Tedesco's subject matter is the gritty underbelly of the urban environment in which she lives. The underground graffiti scene which originated in Frankston in the late 1990s, is also a font of inspiration. Visitors will delight in in Tedesco’s astutely observed and affectionate three-dimensional portraits of place.

McClelland acknowledges the Bunurong / Boon Wurrung people of the South-Eastern Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters on which we are placed.

We are a safe, welcoming space for all people.

As a not-for-profit organisation, McClelland relies largely on the support of visitors through entry fees and donations to help conserve the collection, curate exhibitions and educational programs, and care for the beautiful sculpture park and bushland setting for all to enjoy.
