Alison Tedesco: Street Stories

In tandem is the first major solo exhibition of recent models by Frankston-based Alison Tedesco. Only eighteen months ago Tedesco extended her painting practice into three-dimensions. Her beguiling dioramas—littered bus stops, dumpster bins covered in tags, abandoned factories—are executed with attention to detail that is all the more remarkable given their miniature size.

Tedesco's subject matter is the gritty underbelly of the urban environment in which she lives. The underground graffiti scene which originated in Frankston in the late 1990s, is also a font of inspiration. Visitors will delight in in Tedesco’s astutely observed and affectionate three-dimensional portraits of place.
