Announcing the opening of the Belcher Family Lake Walk

McClelland is pleased to officially open the Belcher Family Lake Walk. We are so grateful to Jennifer Alexander and the Belcher family for their generosity.

The late Mrs Belcher would often push her walker around the original rough path at the lake, while Mr Belcher was so enamoured with a nearby sculpture, Phil Price's Tree of Life, that another part of the donation will go towards its long-term conservation and restoration under McClelland’s ‘Adopt a Sculpture’ program.

McClelland's director, Lisa Byrne said, "At a time when funding is of crucial importance for the success of cultural institutions a donation such as this allows McClelland to add a significant new attraction and amenity. We are deeply indebted to Jenni Alexander, Leon, Bronya, Brylee and the Belcher family for their generosity in making the Belcher Family Lake Walk a reality.

If you're interested in McClelland's Adopt a Sculpture program, email us at info@mcclelland.org.au for further information.

McClelland acknowledges the Bunurong / Boon Wurrung people of the South-Eastern Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters on which we are placed.

We are a safe, welcoming space for all people.

As a not-for-profit organisation, McClelland relies largely on the support of visitors through entry fees and donations to help conserve and build the collection, curate inspiring exhibitions and public programs, and care for the beautiful sculpture park and bushland setting for all to enjoy.
