Story Boats & Beyond
Boats have long symbolised life’s journeys and the soul’s passage between worlds. My Story Boat series emerged from a period of personal transformation inspired by travels with indigenous communities across Alaska, America, Australia, and Tibet. These experiences deeply shaped my creative path. The boats began as empty vessels holding space for unseen passengers, gradually revealing figures that represent family, memory, community, and our connection to land, water, and sky. Birds, fish, whales, and ceremonial figures later appeared, symbolising transformation and guidance.
